- AN EARLY MORNING, AS I DEPARTED FROM MY HOUSE TO THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA FOR A NICE SUNNY DAY HIKE AT SADDLE HOUSE WITH MY FRIEND WHOM ORIGINALLY FROM NEW YORK FOR A VISIT. AS WE'RE BOTH HEADED OUT, WE WERE USING GPS NAVIGATOR AND IT TOOK US TO THE WRONG ROUTE, ABOUT 30 MINS IN, I REALIZED THAT WE WERE NOT IN THE RIGHT PLACE, SO I MAKE A U-TURN AND HEADED TO ANOTHER DIRECTION, WHERE WE WERE ALSO IN THE WRONG ROUTES FOR THE SECOND TIME. FINALLY, I STOPPED THE CAR, AND BEGIN TO ASKED ONE OF THE ELDEST GENTLEMEN WHO GUIDED US WITH THE RIGHT DIRECTION ON THE MAP, AS IT STATED MT.BALDY TOWN, AND THAT WHERE WE BEGIN OUR LAST 25 MINS DRIVE TO OUR DESTINATION.
- WE FINALLY GET TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE MT.BALDY TOWNHOUSE, AND WE BEGIN TO FIND PARKING, BUT IT WAS FULL, AND WE DIDN'T HAVE A DAY PASS, SO I DECIDED TO GO BACK DOWN THE MT. TO TRY TO BUY THE PASS, HOWEVER IT SOLD OUT, SO I TOOK RISK AND PARK IN THE PUBLIC ROAD ALONG WITH OTHERS CARS AND HOPING NOTHING HAPPEN.
- FINALLY, WE START OUR HIKE AT 12 NOON, ALONG THE WAY TO ICE HOUSE SADDLE, WE TOOK PICTURES AND PLAYED SNOW. THE HIKING ROUTE WE TOOK WERE FULL OF SNOW AND ICE WHICH MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR US TO WALKED ON, SINCE WE DID NOT WEAR PROPER SHOES. LUCKILY, WE'RE BOTH HAVE HIKING STICKS TO USED FOR OUR CONVENIENT.
- AT ONE POINT, I WAS SO COLD, I BEGIN TO TAKE A BREAK AND DRINK SOME WATER, AS I STARTED TO PUT ON MY GLOVE, BECAUSE MY HANDS STARTED SHIVERING. WE WERE TAKEN 10 MINS BREAK AND ATE SOME COOKIES THAT WE BROUGHT FROM HOME.
- THEN, WE BEGINS TO CONTINUED OUR JOURNEY TO THE TOP OF ICE HOUSE SADDLE, WE MET A LOT OF HIKERS WHO MOTIVATE AND SUPPORTED US BY SAYING POSITIVE THINGS LIKE, "YOU CAN DO IT" AND , "YOU ARE ALMOST THERE" .
- AT OUR 3 MILES MARK, WE WERE ALL EXHAUSTED, HOWEVER WE GOT THE WILLS AND POWERS OUR WAY THROUGH THE ROUGHLY ROUTE FULL OF SNOWS AS WE CROSS THE PATH. WE WERE CONVERSE AS WE WALK AND ACKNOWLEDGE OF HOW BEAUTIFUL THE SNOW WAS.
- AT AROUND 3 PM, WE WERE ALMOST REACHING OUR DESTINATION WHERE IT ONLY WAS HALF A MILE TO GO, THE MOMENT ARE AWAIT AND WE'RE BOTH COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED AND ENTHUSIASTIC TO WITNESS THE MAGNIFICENT VIEW OF THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE AS PEOPLE MENTION.
- FINALLY, AT 3:30 PM, WE'RE BOTH REACH THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE AND STARTED TO JUMPED UP AND DOWN AND CHEER OF OUR ACCOMPLISHMENT. IT TOOK US EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO GET HERE AT THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE AND IT WON'T STOP US FROM ADMIRED THE WILLS AND POWER THAT WE BOTH HAVE. AS WE TOOK PICTURES, I BEGIN TO BRING OUT MY CLIPBOARD, WHERE I STARTED TO WRITE THE DATE AND TIME AND THE NAME OF THE PLACE THAT WE ARE AT, SO THAT I COULD RECORD MY TIME AND PLACED THAT I AM AT.
- WE'R BOTH SPEND AROUND 25 MINS UP AT THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE, BEFORE WE HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE, DUE TO WEATHER CONDITION AND THE TIMING. WE LEFT THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE AT 4 PM, AND REACH THE CAR AT 5 PM. IT WAS A FAST HIKING DOWN, DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE DID NOT STOP TO TAKE PICTURES AND WE'RE BOTH WERE SPRINTING DOWN. SO BASICALLY, IT TOOK US 3.5 HOURS TO GET TO THE ICE HOUSE SADDLE AND IT TOOK US 1 HOUR TO GET DOWN TO THE CAR.
- MY OVERALL EXPERIENCES WAS AMAZING. I HAVE A GREAT TIME WITH MY FRIEND. I'M GLAD I WAS ABLE TO SHOW HIM AROUND LOS ANGELES, ESPECIALLY DURING SNOW SEASON. WHEN WE'RE BOTH FINALLY GET TO THE CAR, WE WERE RESTING AND BEGIN TO START WARMING UP THE CAR UNTIL 15 MINS AND STARTED TO LEAVE THE PLACE. IT TOOK US ABOUT 50 MINS TO GET HOME DUE TO TRAFFIC ON THE 10 FREEWAY.
